In the studio with TWS

This past weekend I was lucky enough to join the guys of Trainwreck Symphony in the recording studio. The fellas have been hard at work trying to record new tracks to release to their fans before recording their next album. Let me just tell you, I had absolutely no idea how much work goes into recording a track. It was a very long day for everyone...

It started with Ache recording a scratch track so that Jeffrey can listen to it while recording his part on the drums. Jeffrey went into the booth and absolutely nailed his part in about an hour or so. We waited for Cisco to arrive so he could lay down his bass line next. We kept ourselves entertained by watching episodes of Masterworks. I can't believe I hadn't seen any of it until now. Anyways, when Cisco arrived he sat down and laid down bass. After that was complete, Ache was ready to rock on the guitar! At this point everything really started coming together and I was getting really excited for the final product. Last, Kona had to layer his vocals on top of everything and the masterpiece would come to its musical cusp. After about 19hrs in the studio, we listened to a rough recording of the track. It was very exciting to get a taste of what will develop from all the heart the guys poured into it.

Right now, we're waiting for the track to get mixed and hopefully in a few weeks you will all be listening to something pretty wonderful. Oh! And I can't forget... We managed to record footage of the entire process so hopefully our amazingly talented editor has a little snippet thrown together soon! That's all for now, friends!

Peace, Love & Music.
